The Four Types Of Sentence
1.
1. Simple Sentences
If contains 1 Independent clause
Eg : I purchased some curtains for my home and asked to have
them installed the next day.
2. Compound Sentence
Contains
2 Independent clause and connected by coordinating conjunction <for, and,
not, but, or, yet, & so>.

I was very disappointed to find that not
only were they different color than what I had ordered

ic :

3. Complex Sentence
Contains 1 IC and 1
dependent clause (DC). DC begin with subordinating conjunction.
Eg
: I have complained to
employees who sell me curtains, Sally Sarah Eugene, because she can't help me
so I refer to you.
4. Compound-Complex Sentence
Contains 2
IC and 1 DC at least. connected by coordinating conj. & subordinating conj.
One DC :
that this is not wearing
